Discover Munich! - A guided tour through the city centre
Saturday 23.10.2010, 10:45 - 13:30
In October we would like to warmly welcome you in Munich! If you just arrived in Munich or if you want to get to know more about the city you live in we invite you to join our guided city tour.
When Munich was founded as a small town in the twelfth century it was enclosed by a wall and then expanded beyond it like many small cities. The inner city occupies such a small area that everything is close and easy to visit, and you'll get a sense of the original wall, indeed, the gates still remain.
We will walk through the city centre and visit important places such as the Marienplatz or the Munich Residence. A guide will provide information about the history of the places we visit and you can ask what you always wanted to know about Munich!
The tour will take approx. two hours.
When: October 23rd ; time will be announced after registration
Meeting Place: Marienplatz (U3/U6 or S-Bahn 1 - 8)
Price: 7 EUR per adult; 3,50 EUR for children until the age of 14
Registration: By email to Wihi-winkler@zv.tum.de before October 19th, 2010
