Visit of the Alte Pinakothek
Sunday 17.01.2010, 10:00 - 15:00
We will visit the Alte Pinakothek which houses one of the world´s most important collections of paintings. The event is part of the "CULTURAL PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL RESEARCHERS AND FRIENDS" organized by the TUM International Office.
On display are more than 800 paintings, among them numerous wellknown masterpieces of 14th to 18th Century European painting. The Museum boasts masterpieces by Albrecht Dürer and Lucas Cranach, Rembrandt and Frans Hals, Rubens and van Dyck and many more. This superb collection makes it possible to explore the development of painting from the Middle Ages through to the end of the Rococo era. We will first have a guided tour (approx. 1,5 hours) and afterwards you will be given the possibility to explore the museum by yourself.
