SUMMARY:Scientific Symposium on the occasion of the foundation stone ceremony of the TUM Catalysis Research Center 
DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of the foundation stone ceremony of the Catalysis Research Center (CRC) of Technische Universität München a Scientific Symposium will take place on July 28, 2009 at the Department of Chemistry. Scientific presentations in the field of catalysis will be given by Prof. Enrique Iglesia (University of California , Berkeley, USA), Prof. Yasushi Sekine (Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan), Prof. Matthias Beller (Leibniz-Institut für Katalyse, Universität Rostock), Prof. Avelino Corma (Instituto de Tecnología Química, Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain) and Prof. Jean Marie Basset (Laboratoire de Chimie Organométallique de Surface, Lyon, France). Dr. Denys Baskakov will be awarded by the Süd-Chemie Catalysis Graduation Prize. Prof. Wolfgang A. Herrmann and Dr. Hans-Joachim Müller (Süd-Chemie AG) will present the award ceremony.
