Study Begin Summer Semester 2011 – Information for International Students
In the year 2011 two Abitur (A-Level) years are simultaneously finishing their studies in Bavaria. In order to avoid the double rush of students in the universities, high-school graduates receive their school leaving certificates on two deferred dates. In order to enable the first cohort of students to bridge the time until regular study begin in the winter semester, we are offering special study offers like the TUM twoinone and Propaedeutics in the 2011 summer semester. International students can also take part and apply. For admittance limited offers, the actual target group- 2011 graduates in their 9th year of Gymnasium (secondary school) will be favoured. In addition, the usual application modalities apply for international students which you could read up on here: http://portal.mytum.de/studium/bewerbung/incomings/index_html/document_view.The target group must implicitly note that for the additional 2011 summer semester offers, an extensive knowledge of German is imperative due to the fact that approx. 95% of the courses are offered in German. For this reason all of the stated requisites in the following site must be fulfilled http://portal.mytum.de/studium/sprachenzentrum/deutschkenntnisse. The exemptions mentioned there do not apply to the additional offers. Further details can be found in the German sites.
