Professor Günter Blöschl is head of the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management at the TU Wien. His main research interests are Hydrology and Water Resources, in particular Flood Research, Regional Hydrology, Hydrological Process Studies and Water Management. Günter Blöschl was awarded the 2015 Robert E. Horton Medal at the American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting Honors Ceremony, held on 16 December 2015 in San Francisco. The medal is for "outstanding contributions to hydrology". The Lecture Series is free of charge.
