Die TUM School of Education der Technischen Universität München sucht zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine(n) wissenschaftliche(n) Mitarbeiter/-in (doc oder postdoc möglich) in der Fachdidaktik Gesundheits- und Pflegewissenschaft an der Professur für Fachdidaktik Life Sciences in Vollzeit. Stable two-dimensional networks of organic molecules are important components in various nanotechnology processes. However, producing these networks, which are only one atom thick, in high quality and with the greatest possible stability currently still poses a great challenge. Scientists from the Excellence Cluster Nanosystems Initiative Munich (NIM) have now successfully created just such networks made of boronic acid molecules. The current issue of the scientific journal ACSnano reports on their results.

The goal of the thesis is to use the Weather Research and Forecasting Model (WRF) to simulate the meteorological and concertation fields in Hamburg. This task will be accompanied to our Hamburg measurement campaign on August 2021. In combination with the concentration measurements, a clearer insight of emissions in Hamburg can be obtained. The tasks will include: 1)WRF Pre-processing: Design domains for Hamburg; 2)WRF Running: Understand and run WRF simulation in Linux Environment; 3)WRF post-processing: Visualize the model results and compare the simulations basic to other measurements; Your preferable skills and background are: Experience with R, Matlab, and LINUX operative system and modelling High computational skills Motivation and interest in modeling atmospheric environment

The newly established professorship “Land Surface-Atmosphere Interactions” investigates impacts of global climate and land use change on terrestrial ecosystems and potential feedbacks to the atmosphere. The goal is the development of conceptually new, coupled ecosystem-atmosphere models. These models will be used to systematically investigate the impacts of climate change, in particular extreme events, and land use change on ecosystems, and potential climate feedbacks at regional scale.

Very recently European Commission set up a carbon emission reduction target of 80%-95% below 1990 lev- els by 2050. Therefore monitoring and control of urban emissions is ex- tremely important to achieve that goal. The “Top-down” method assess- es emissions of greenhouse gases and pollutants by using atmospheric observations and atmospheric transport models.
