Hello, My name is ShengHsuan Lin. I come from Taiwan and is starting my Master degree in Computational Science and Engineering this October on Garching Campus. I am looking for WG/flat-share for my at least two year study. I prefer places near Garching Campus, or other places near u-bahn station so I can get to Garching campus easily. After graduated from National Taiwan University with a B.S. in Physics, I took one year military service working in the social welfare department in the government. I am 23 years old now. The Euro 5 Norm for exhaust emissions went into force for all new car models in September. Scientists at the Technische Universitaet Muenchen (Technical University of Munich, TUM) have developed an engine that is already close to meeting the more stringent Euro 6 emissions standard. A research team headed by Prof. Georg Wachtmeister from the Chair of Internal Combustion Engines has succeeded in reducing the pollutants in exhaust emissions to barely measurable levels. The engineers at the TUM have also developed a probe that allows them to take samples from the combustion chamber during the combustion process itself. With this method the scientists hope to discover precisely how soot forms, with the aim of developing new methods for emissions control.

There is a total of 12 experiments plus one introduction appointment together with your lab supervisor Master students receive EUR 207.00 per month for a weekly activity of 3.5 hours as a tutor (around 660€ total), the monthly payment for Bachelor students is EUR 183.00 (around 583€ total). Your job is to supervise a group of three students doing an experiment on control topics such as the inverted pendulum, sliding mode control or model predictive control Please note that you cannot quit in the middle of the semester.
