Student Assistant for the English Department

The Department of English at the TUM Language Center is looking for a student assistant for 4-6 hours/week, starting immediately and (initially) until 30.09.2026. By mutual agreement, we would hope to extend the position into future semesters.
- Ability to work from the Munich campus for at least some of your hours (in particular Friday afternoons)
- Very good knowledge of English and German, both written and spoken.
- Independent, responsible and structured way of working, good communication skills
- Confident handling of common MS Office programmes and high affinity to IT-related topics
- Experience in the use of online learning platforms (e.g. Moodle) and online teaching tools or a high level of willingness to familiarise oneself intensively with this area
- Experience and interest in using programming skills to optimise administrative workflows. Python knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience and interest in gamification an advantage, and a enthusiasm to learn and assist in producing content for our language courses.
- You have not yet completed a Master's degree.
- Supporting the SZ in the delivery of Moodle-based language tests
- Supporting the English department in the creation and use of online teaching tools (especially Moodle).
- Upon recruitment, earliest participation in the training of the Tutor Academy.
- Creating statistics in Excel.
- Support with administrative tasks, as well as TUM information events.
