Not to be missed: BaföG, Campus App and 100 students

BAföG: Applications until July 31, 2012

Don't forget the BaföG! As every year, the deadline to file a “Weiterleistungsantrag” application at the Education Assistance Office (Amt für Ausbildungsförderung) is July the 31st. Please submit your application on time so as not to have to wait for your money. By the way, BAföG-Online is now freely accessible, see: www.bafoegbayern.de

TUM Campus App: Survey

The (unofficial) TUM Campus App was developed at the department for operating systems and first published for the Android market (Google play) in 2011. It has become increasingly popular since then, even beyond the faculty of computer science. Now students of all faculties are questioned in order to optimize and adapt the app further. It takes only 5 minutes to participate. Please join in – until August 15, 2012. www.os.in.tum.de/survey

100-student-campaign:

Again, the German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics – Lilienthal-Oberth e.V. (DGLR) – will enable 100 students to visit the German Air and Space Conference in Berlin from September 10th to 12th. TUM students can also apply. The deadline is July 31, 2012. A ticket gives the holder admission to the entire scientific program. Rolls-Royce Germany is a partner. More:

Festo Challenge: Principle to Product

An innovative principle was found – but there is still no practical implementation. The Festo Challenge: Principle to Product encourages students to develop operational possibilities for the principle of movement by inversion – inversion meaning motion by upending. From now on, the application documents can be downloaded from www.german-design-council.de online. Registration deadline for the Festo Challenge is December 7, 2012. The award ceremony will take place at the Hannover Messe in April 2013.
