Francis Kéré hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, innovative Konstruktionsstrategien zu entwickeln und traditionelle Materialien mit modernen Bautechniken zu verbinden. Ein wichtiges Anliegen von Francis Kéré ist es, mittels Architektur nicht nur sehr gut funktionierende Räume zu schaffen, sondern Menschen durch Konzepte und Architektur zu mehr zu inspirieren. Was als eine Herzensangelegenheit eines Studenten der TU Berlin begonnen hat, ist mittlerweile weltweit sehr gefragt: In Afrika, insbesondere in seinem Heimatland Burkina Faso, in Deutschland, Europa und vielerorts in Amerika und Asien.
