Sponsoring research and technology means laying the foundations for tomorrow's solutions today. TU München is aware of the special responsibility it shoulders for the community and for Germany as a location and is setting new standards in its role as an elite university in the process of reform. State funding of universities is not in a position to respond as quickly or as extensively as it ought to the ever-changing requirements. It is for this reason that we at TU München are particularly keen to bring committed individuals from industry and society together with a view to supporting the university's reform projects in terms of both content and finances. Bridges to industry
Technological and scientific progress is not an end in itself. We conduct an intensive dialogue with industry and adapt our education programme to new developments - and we help our students to build their careers. With innovative institutions at our disposal, we are committed to the task of speeding up the transfer of knowledge and technology to industrial firms, promoting start-ups and new ventures and backing companies in their search for highly qualified staff. The foundation of our "UnternehmerTUM GmbH" entrepreneurial training scheme marks an important step towards supporting innovations created by the university. More
Alumni network "KontakTUM"
Anyone who has studied or worked at our university remains a member of the big TUM family for the rest of his/her life.
