Members of the acatech – German Academy of Science and Engineering

In the present day and age, people's lives are increasingly influenced by technology. To reflect their significance, technological sciences need to be incorporated more in topics of public debate. It is accordingly important to give technological sciences a common voice in Germany.

For this reason, the German Academy of Science and Engineering was founded by the principals of the seven state academies in February 2002. This non-for-profit association, whose name acatech stands for the joint interests of academia and technology, represents matters connected with technological sciences at home and abroad on a self-determined, independent scale for the common good.
