Monika Henzinger |
Prof. Monika Henzinger studied computer science at Saarland University, graduating in 1989. She obtained her doctorate at Princeton University (USA) in 1993. After that, she worked as an assistant professor at Cornell University in Ithaca (USA), as a researcher at the Systems Research Center of Digital Equipment Corporation in Palo Alto (USA) and as Director of Research at Google in Mountain View (USA). Since 2005, she has held the position of professor of computer science, initially at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and currently at the University of Vienna, where she is Head of the Research Group Theory and Applications of Algorithms.
In 1995, she received the CAREER Award from the American National Science Foundation and in 2004 she received the European Young Investigator Award.
