Corporate Communications Center
The Corporate Communications Center (CCC) covers all communication channels used by the university and is the point of contact for media inquiries. It was formed in 2006 as part of TUM’s forward-looking concept with a view to strengthening TUM’s national and international reputation for excellence. The CCC uses a variety of tools and channels – ranging from press releases, professional magazines and websites through social media, video and audio to PR events – to bring TUM research findings in particular to the general public. The CCC thus acts as a service provider – both for TUM’s scientists and for external media representatives looking for interesting, cutting-edge articles or experts to join panel discussions. CCC’s main mission is to strengthen the international TUM brand.
Services for scientists
The CCC informs the public about cutting-edge research projects and provides the following services for scientists:
- Communications consulting on target audiences and suitable communication media
- Editorial adaptation of complex scientific content for specific audiences
- Widespread communication of research findings, thus raising the profile of TUM and increasing its appeal among prospective non-academic collaboration partners and sponsors
Integrated communication
The CCC formulates the core strategic messages of the university, bridges communication interests across all TUM institutions and unifies all internal and external communications to create a consistent, integrated voice for TUM. This involves strategically aligning communications aimed at scientists, students, employees, alumni, friends, sponsors and the general public.
