Description of course of studies

The Master program in Information systems deals with the development, use and management of an organization's IT infrastructure. Graduates of the 2-year program can be found in IT departments, but also in controlling, marketing, and operations management, where IT skills have become essential. Tasks of IS professionals include, but are not limited to:

→ planning, design, and implementation of information systems;
→ IT service management;
→ software design and architecture;
→ optimization of business processes;
→ data engineering and management decision support;

The curriculum includes advanced courses in Information Systems, Informatics, and Business Administration. Courses are provided by the Department of Informatics and the TUM Business School.
