The Master of Nuclear Technology is intended to provide the students with the knowledge, skills and competence necessary to succeed in dealing with the demands of the work in the nuclear industry and other organizations that deal with nuclear technologies, e.g. nuclear regulatory agencies, nuclear medicine centers, companies dealing with the use of radioisotopes and radioactive protection, etc. The subjects offered cover a wide range of nuclear technology aspects such as thermal-hydraulic and neutronic analysis, use of advanced nuclear simulation codes, radioactive protection, medical applications of radiation, fusion and fission reactor technology, etc.The Master can be completed in four semesters at TUM (120 ETCS), with the option of obtaining 40 ETCS by attending a series of advanced master courses in English offered by the INSTN in Saclay, France, during one of the winter semesters.
