Description of course of studies

The studies prepare for a teaching post to middle schools. Essential components of the studies are the activity with sports theoretical and practical didactic questions as well as scientific works.

The studies are particularly aimed at the abilities, skills and knowledge required for giving lesson of sport:

• Knowledge in the teaching profession particularly relevant for the sciences of sport (sports education, sports biology/sports medicine, sport psychology, kinematics, training teaching).
• Didactic knowledge and qualifications which are required for the execution of the lesson

Application documents (International students)

preliminary inspection documentation, copy of a (foreign) school leaving certificate or examination which qualifies the applicant to study at an institution of higher education in Germany (="Abitur"), certified translation of the above document, in case of submission of an application for an aptitude test always include a motivational letter or statement, recent passport-size photograph, CV with details of previous study (which institutions of higher education attended, examinations passed, etc.), proof of previous study (i.e. copy of student ID), proof of german language proficiency
