Description of course of studies

For Teaching at Academic Secondary Schools, the TU Munich still offers Mathematics/Sports as the only major subject combination with state examination for the winter term 2007/08. Other major subject combinations are offered under the study course Teaching at Academic Secondary Schools - Scientific Education for the winter term 2007/08 in the bachelor course of studies.

Internship

School practical courses: 3-4 weeks practical course orientation before start of study; 5 weeks educational science didactics block practical course; one term study-accompanying didactical practical course with at least four hours instruction including discussion once a week. 8 weeks operating practical course, which is to be done before beginning of the main study.For more information, see: http://www.stmuk.bayern.de/km/lehrerbildung/allgemeines/praktika/ and http://www.stmuk.bayern.de/km/recht/LPO1/index.htm
Industrial placement: a guided industrial or business internship of 8 weeks' duration is a compulsory course component. It should be achieved before the main study period starts. Teaching practice: Students must complete a block of 5 weeks' (about 80 lessons) teaching practice during the time when no lectures are given; as well as a subject-related internship once a week during one semester.

Please note: Applicants with a foreign university entrance qualification must apply to uni-assist for preliminary inspection documentation of their university entrance qualification before applying online.
For students majoring Sport, a pass in the sports aptitude test (for which registration is required by June 1).

application for admission (please staple on the left side from end-to-end and include the required documents), in case of submission of an application for an aptitude test always include a motivational letter or statement, university entrance diploma (certificate of qualification for university entrance in the form of a certified copy - or if necessary - a certified translation), curriculum vitae , a recent photograph

Application documents (International students)

preliminary inspection documentation, copy of a (foreign) school leaving certificate or examination which qualifies the applicant to study at an institution of higher education in Germany (="Abitur"), certified translation of the above document, in case of submission of an application for an aptitude test always include a motivational letter or statement, passport-size photograph, CV with details of previous study (which institutions of higher education attended, examinations passed, etc.), proof of previous study (i.e. copy of student ID), proof of german language proficiency
