Description of course of studies

Jointly run by Technische Universitaet Muenchen (TUM) and the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU), the Master of Science in Integrated Circuit Design to educate the next generation of engineers and leaders for the semiconductor and electronics industries. Strong technical modules as well as essential non-technical topics such as product marketing, international management, patent law, culture and globalization are covered. The course is held in Singapore and administered by the German Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) – TUM Asia, Singapore.

Graduates can work as IC Design engineers, technical expert, or engineering managers. Branch out into concept engineering, product definition, marketing and sales, work in research institutions, and pursue further studies (PhD)

TUITION FEES:
The tuition fee is SGD 10.000 (Singepore Dollars) per semester

The 2 months internship and 6 months master thesis may be undertaken either at NTU, TUM or in a company in Singapore/Germany.

Application and admission


Application

A bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical/electronic or related disciplines from a university with recognized standing. Application documents assessment/ written test and / or interview with the Joint Admission Board of the Faculties of Electrical Engineering of NTU and TUM.

To apply, there are two steps.
  1. Submit online application via http://www.gist.edu.sg/onlineapplication.aspx
  2. Send printed out of online application and hardcopy required documents
CV with details of previous study (which institutions of higher education attended, examinations passed, etc.), proof of university degree, certified translation of the above document (if not in English), TOEFL results if university course was not conducted in English, 2 passport-size photos, name and contacts of two references (minimum two recommendation letters either from Professor or Employer), passport or identity card, and motivation letter (signed by applicant). For more details please refer to the general admission requirements.
