Description of course of studies

The four-semester Master’s course of study allows students to specialize in the many different disciplines of Automotive and Combustion Engine Technology. The modular design of the Master’s now allows students to organize the program according to their personal interests and skills. The courses are designed not only to provide comprehensive specialized knowledge, but also to promote methodological skills and networked, application-oriented thinking – a requirement for a successful, scholarly career. This multidisciplinarity (mechanics + electronics + software + …) is what allows the further development of high-tech products for the automotive and combustion engine industry. With its well-grounded scientific training, the Master’s course of study provides a solid basis for a career in industry, and is a prerequisite for working as a researcher.
