Description of course of studies

Prerequisite for the study of Automotive and Combustion Engine Technology is an eight week lasting internship. The Bachelor's program is divided in two parts: The topics of the first four semesters are the engineering basics. All study paths of mechanical engineering have these mandatory subjects in common. The subsequent two semesters address the specialization in the field of automotive and combustion engine technology. The scientific basics and methodical skills are applied to real world problems and characteristic approaches are presented for the field of automotive technology. This course of study leads to a first professional degree. An even more detailed focus on the challenging issues of the vehicle and engine technology is given in the Master's program (4 semesters).
