DIPLOMA DEGREE

Student course at TUM are being restructured in the sense of the Declaration of Bologna and this includes the currently offered Diploma courses. Thus in most Diploma courses the ECTS as well as modularization are being introduced. This will also facilitate a possible transfer from a Diploma course to a Bachelor course in the first semesters.

Diploma courses usually consist of a basic course of about 4 semesters and a main course of up to 6 semesters. The basic course (depending on the subject) usually includes the following examinations: Basic principles and orientation examination (GOP). This examination is intended to demonstrate the students aptitude for an engineering-scientific training.

Technische Universität München offers the following courses of study with the diploma degree:

Aerospace Engineering (expiring - only application for the 9th & higher semester will be considered)
Architecture (expiring - only application for the 10th and higher semester will be considered)
Automotive and Combustion Engine Technology (expiring - only application for the 10th & higher semester will be considered)
Conservation Restoration, Art Technology, Conservation Science (expiring - only application for the 3rd & higher semester will be considered)
Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (expiring - only application for the 10th & higher semester will be considered)
Energy and Process Engineering (expiring - only application for the 10th & higher semester will be considered)
Information Technology - IT (expiring - only application for the 9th & higher semester will be considered)
Mechanical Engineering (expiring - only application for the 9th & higher semester will be considered)
Mechanical Engineering and Management (expiring - only application for the 9th & higher semester will be considered)
Mechatronics and Computer Science (expiring - only application for the 9th & higher semester will be considered)
Product Development and Design (expiring - only application for the 9th & higher semester will be considered)
Production and Logistics (expiring - only application for the 9th & higher semester will be considered)
Teaching at Vocational Schools (expiring - only application for the 6th & higher semester will be considered)
