APPLICATION PERIOD
- The respective application period for bachelor courses runs from May 15th till July 15th (winter semester) and from November 15th till January 15th (summer semester, only for higher semesters).

- Master courses possibly have different application periods. (more information).
- Bitte beachten Sie, dass einige Studiengänge noch nicht genehmigt sind. Informieren Sie sich hierzu auf den jeweiligen Studiengangswebseiten (siehe unten unser Studienangebot). Da wir mit einem Einvernehmen des Ministeriums für diese Studiengänge rechnen, können Sie sich bereits jetzt bewerben.
- Applicants with a foreign university entrance qualification must first have their documents inspected by uni-assist (service center for international students).

APPLICATION PERIOD
1. ONLINE APPLICATION
- You apply via the portal TUMonline: You create an applicant account (one account per applicant!).
- The electronic applicant assistant guides you through the application process step by step.
- Online transfer of data to TU München.

2. ADMISSION
- Depending on the type of admission of your course your admission procedure runs different. There are 3 possibilities:
- direct admission,
- direct rejection (E-Mail-Benachrichtigung nach kurzer Zeit) oder
- selection interview at the department (E-Mail-Benachrichtigung nach längerer Zeit).
- For courses with Numerus Clausus special regulations are effective.

3. SENDING IN APPLICATION DOCUMENTS PER POST
- You have to send the application form and paper documents to TU München per post:
- Print out the application form and sign it.
- Send the signed application form with all the required paper documents (see document checklist in your online application) by no later than July 15th to:

- Required documents:
- Your certificate of aptitude for higher education (final secondary school leaving certificates, etc.)
- Any relevant documents regarding previous education (scholastic, vocational, academically, related, etc.)
- Certificate of student health insurance
- Possible proofs of military service, alternative community service, voluntary year of ecological work)
- Possible proofs of periods of practical instruction or training, social commitment, etc.
- If applicable, language certificate (German or English)
- If applicable, statement of purpose, curriculum vitae, essay (relevant information can be found on the homepage of the selected course of studies).
- All certificates have to be sent as certified copies (more information on certified copies)!
- You must accept your place within 14 days of receiving the admission notification (exceptions: courses with Numerus Clausus: 10 days)
- If you have applied for more than one course: it is only possible to accept one place (if you are planning to take a double degree/joint honors: please contact the Student Admission)
- Once you have accepted your place you will have the opportunity to download official confirmation from TUMonline.
- Once you have accepted your place, please pay your course fees by bank transfer.
- Information on fees and transfer are to be found in TUMonline under "Tuition Fees".

- As soon as TU München is in full receipt of your documents and your payment, you will be enrolled on the course.
- You will be notified accordingly by e-mail.
- After enrollment you can download the following course documents from TUMonline under "Print Documents":
- Certificate of enrollment
- certificates for rail travel and MVV (Munich public transportation network)
- confirmation of payment
- The StudentCard (student chipcard ID) is given to you at the beginning of the semester in the Student Information (Studenten-Service-Zentrum, Arcisstr. 21) on presentation of photo ID.
