Congratulations! You have been selected by your home university for a period of study abroad as an exchange student at the TUM under the Erasmus Program. Your university sent us the e-nomination of the selected students and we acknowledged that.
Before we can welcome you to the TUM, you must register as follows:
1. First of all, please complete this online application form in German (Attention: after the deadlines they will not be considered!). Please fill in all the boxes on the form. Boxes marked with an asterisk (*) are compulsory. When you have completed all the boxes, click on "Speichern". Check your entries one last time before clicking on the "Weiter" button to forward your data to us. (Please make sure you activate the "Weiter" button once only).
2. Once you have completed the form, please click "Generate PDF document", print the application form and your university post it (please do not fax it !!!), duly signed by both yourself and your Erasmus representative, to the following address together with the documents given below:

The print-out of your online application form must be accompanied by the 5 documents listed below (only in single copy):
- A one-page letter of motivation in German stating your reasons for applying to TUM
- Curriculum vitae in German (we do not accept CVs from the Europass-website!)
- Study Program (Please contact the Erasmus representative at your home university and the responsible Erasmus representative at the TUM to discuss your proposed exchange visit. The study program should be signed and stamped by the Erasmus representative at your home university!
- Transcript of records (all the grades you have attained at university so far, signed and stamped by your university)
- 1 passport photo (no scanned or copied photo!) - please stick it on the online form
If you plan to attend courses and lectures at TUM please make sure that you have a good knowledge of the german language, because the majority of the courses are in german.
Deadlines for application:

31. May for students who wish to study at the TUM for the winter term or the whole academic year

31. October for students who wish to begin their study at the TUM at the summer term
Please note that we can only deal with applications that are submitted complete with all the documents required on or before the relevant deadline, before forwarding them to the admission office. If any documents are missing, we will advise you by e-mail, but your application can only be processed when we have received the missing papers. We regret that belated applications cannot be considered.
Provided your application documents are complete, the International Office of TUM will send you a letter of admission in June/July (for the winter term) respectively November/December (for the summer term) by email.
