Mentoring at TUM

Mentoring is a goal-oriented tool employed in human resources to enhance personnel development and rear young talent. The vital component of this strategy is the direct, exclusive mentor/mentee relationship. The mentors help their protégés to develop their personality and their skills. TU München has set up diverse inter-departmental programs to enable you to benefit from this individual, intensive promotional scheme.

Here is a breve overview about the programs available:

 

mentorING Career-building for female engineers and scientists

Female students and first-time employees from the Faculties of Civil Engineering and Geodesy, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science can take advantage of the mentorING program which is run by TUM's Women's Representative and is specially tailored to the needs of women engaged in the fields of science and engineering.

TUM² Mentoring for students and alumni

TUM² is aimed at students from all faculties who have already completed their first-part finals (pre-diploma), or are in the third year of their Bachelor's degree course, or are studying for a Master's degree as well as doctoral students who wish to enrol as mentees in tandem with TUM-alumni. Come on and join in - alumni and students alike - and gain from the experience and competences of the mentees or mentors respectively.

"Emeriti of Excellence" Mentoring program for gifted students

The TUM "Emeriti of Excellence" promotional program is primarily designed for particularly talented TUM students. TUM professors (both emeriti and active lecturers) adopt the mentorship and take the mentees under their wing when they enter into research and science, promoting them with a multi-faceted range of special schemes
