Research Assistent (100%) in the field of geothermal energy

For our team we are looking for a Research Assistent (100%-position) in the EU-Life Project GeoBOOST (m,w,d) at the Chair of Hydrogeology TU Munich. Your task will be the investigation of technical and non-technical barriers for the implementation of geothermal heat pump systems in the European Union, working together with international experts. Further task is the devel-opment of information, methods and tools mitigate the identified obstacles. For this you - work on data acquisition and analyses of existing geothermal heat pump systems - developing concepts, platforms and tools for better information and reducing barriers with an international team - participate at workshops and present your results - give scientific talks at national and international conferences - publish your results in international journals REQUIREMENTS You have - general experiences in the field of geoscience and geothermal energy, especially in shallow geothermal energy - experience in the field of energy planning - high interest in research work - good english knowledge - enjoy working in an international team WE OFFER: - a 100 %-position (E13) as research assistant at teh Chair of Hydrogeology at the TUM, starting immediately and limited to 31.12.2025 - flexible workíng times - the possibility to design project contents in the EU-Life Project GeoBOOST - collecting international experience - to work in an university and international research team - to work directly in the future topic of energy transition THE PROJECT: The GeoBOOST projects aims to assist the growth of geothermal heat pump markets in targeted regions by assisting the development of robust regulatory, financial, business model and upskilling workers frameworks. This allows regions to rapidly scale up investment in this vital renewable heating, cooling and storage technology to meet the EU’s revised 2030 climate and energy targets. It also ensures energy transition investments are made in local economies to benefit local regions, citizens and businesses. The expected work and project outcomes are relevant to our strategic objectives and will facilitate: - Decarbonisation of the existing building stocks - Sustainable and skilled local employment - Addressing of relevant non-technology market barriers - Reducing the socio-economic impacts of dependence on imported fossil fuels - Achievement of the EU’s revised 2030 climate and energy targets through tangible local investments and employment APPLICATION By equal qualification, disabled persons will be preferentially hired. Wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in (m/w/d) im Bereich Digitale Transformation und Wasserstoffwirtschaft

Der Wandel von konventionellen, fossilen Energieträgern hin zu alternativen Energieträgern sowie die Erhöhung der Energieeffizienz in allen Bereichen der Gesellschaft sind zentrale Trends mit herausragender Bedeutung und immenser Tragweite für die Zukunft Deutschlands und Europas. Wo digitale Lösungen als intelligente Systeme vielfach Energieeffizienz erhöhen können, ist die Nutzung von Wasserstoff ein vieldiskutierter prominenter Ansatz für den Einsatz alternativer Energieträger. Im Rahmen mehrerer Projekte in diesen Bereichen sollen Potentiale und konkrete Lösungsmöglichkeiten für den Einsatz digitaler Lösungen sowie alternativer Energieträger wie Wasserstoff und die damit einhergehenden Veränderungen in Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft erforscht werden. So sollen für Rechenzentren und Asphaltmischwerke als besondere Einsatzszenarien Grundlagen für ein nachhaltiges Energiemanagement wie eine systematische Übersicht relevanter Anspruchsgruppen und ihrer Bedürfnisse sowie Konzepte digitaler Lösungen entwickelt werden. Zudem sollen Möglichkeiten der Geschäftsmodellinnovation in der Wasserstoffwirtschaft untersucht werden. Insbesodnere ist es Ziel, Werkzeuge zur Gestaltung von Geschäftsmodellen, auch zur automatisierten Analyse, zu entwickeln.

Research Associate (PhD-candidate, m/f/d) for EU-Horizon-Project in laser-based Additive Manufacturing of metals
