Lecturnity
Description: Lecturnity is a commercial recording software by imc AG. It consists of 4 modules which support the author in the creation process. The underlying principle of recording generates a time-based multimedia application. Recording is only possible using Power Point slides.
Technical procedure: Power Point slides are uploaded into the Lecturnity wizard. The settings of sound, video and screen grabbing are specified here too. By clicking the start button the synchronous recording of all selected media forms starts. Mouse movements, text entries, popup windows or annotations and drawings made by the author during the presentation will be recorded. The application may be edited and optimised using the editor. Moreover, sound and video files may be edited and exported or imported. In the third creation step the Lecturnity Publisher carries out tasks that are important for publishing the learning applications. The recordings may currently be exported to Flash (without video), RealMedia and Windows Media formats.
Use in the Lehrstuhl (sub-division): In the 2005/06 winter semester the "Einführung in die Technische Informatik" course (introduction into technical informatics) by Prof. Bode are recorded using Lecturnity. The recordings are available to students on the TUM learning platform in Flash, RealMedia and Windows Media formats.
