Finding an academic supervisor
As soon as you have chosen your main field of research, please contact the TUM Professor who is best suited to supervise your work within the concerned field. You can search for a supervisor within our Faculties and departments, where you will find a list of all Professors involved. Once you have found a suited Professor on the website, please contact him/her directly. The following list might serve as a guideline:- Resume / Curriculum Vitae
- Your research proposal (with a rough outline and a bibliography)
- Publications (if available)
- References
- Further documents which distinguish you from other candidates
In general you should keep in mind that the better prepared you are, the higher your chances of getting a doctoral position will be.
