- Mentoring, the one-to-one counselling of an inexperienced person by a more experienced one (the so-called mentor), can prove to be a vital stepping-stone to a successful career. This is the idea behind TUM² and the manage & more-Program, which you are free to take part in. TUM also has an offer especially designed for women: mentorING program. The TUM Graduate School also offers a special mentoring program for its members.

- The TUM Graduate School offers an extensive qualification program specially designed for doctoral candidates. All courses are offered by TUM internal departments such as the Carl von Linde Academy, ProLehre, Wimes, UnternehmerTUM and the Gender Center.
- If you are thinking about founding your own company, UnternehmerTUM will help you further. UnternehmerTUM is a centre promoting entrepreneurial thinking and action, and supervises students and scientists at TUM.
- Concerning information about patents and licensing please get in touch with the colleagues of the Patent and License Office.
- Information regarding a post doctoral career can be given by the TUM ForTe department.
