Junge Akademie: 10 New Members Needed

The Junge Akademie is looking for scientists from all disciplines in the German-speaking area, who have already drawn attention to themselves via an excellent doctoral degree. Its 50 members are dedicated to an interdisciplinary scientific discourse, are engaged in the crosspoints between science and society and actively involved in the encouragement of new scientists. During the 5-year membership at the Junge Akademie, a total budget of roughly 25,000 Euro is made available to each member.
For a successful application, it is required that your doctoral degree was no more then 3-7 years ago and at least one further excellant paper followed. Those interested and wishing to actively contribute with their creative ideas, should send their application to Junge Akademie's office bfore the 30th November 2010. Your application should consist of a letter explaining why you wish to join,
your C.V., a list of your publications and references from 2 professors.
Prof. Dr. Fabian Theis (chair of Biomathematics) is an active TUM member at the Junge Akademie. The Junge Akademie was founded in 2000, together from the BBAW (Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften) and the Deutschen Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina, as the first Akademie of new scientists in Germany.
