Welcome on the women’s representative’s web sites
The Gender-Zentrum deals with all aspects of gender at TUM.
It gives advice and helps the management, committees and the administrative department of the Technical University of Munich with the implementation of the equality under public law. In cooperation with the responsible departments the Gender-Zentrum works on programs to facilitate women in the scientific areas of university and to therefore change structural inequality in the long term.
Central topics are mentoring, coaching, networking as well as diverse professional seminars for female students and female scientists. Another working field is the information, the consulting service and the assistance for female students and female scientists in the case of upcoming problems. A current main focus is put on the implementation of gender aspects in the "Exzellenzinitiative".
The intention of all activities is to gradually change the university culture via the individual promotion of women.
