Scientific work Ralf Reichwald made a name for himself as one of the leading innovators in business administration research. He focused his academic work on organisation, technology and management. In doing so, he concentrated on interdisciplinary questions concerning technical, organisational transformation and its effect on market and corporate development. His publications encompass more than 20 books as well as approximately 200 essays in and contributions to collected editions. The series of works he assisted in publishing, “Markt- und Unternehmensentwicklungen” (Market and Corporate Development), comprises around 150 volumes. Moreover, Ralf Reichwald’s interests include future developmemt and restructuring of universities. From 1991 to 1993, he was the founding deacon of the Department of Business Studies of the Technische Universität (Bergakademie) in Freiberg/Sachsen, which awarded him an honorary doctorate in 1994. Ralf Reichwald was significantly involved in the Reform Project of the Technische Universität München, and participated in several reform commissions for the restructuring of the university. His conceptual considerations were decisively able to forward the relaunch of the business sciences department, and in 2002 he was elected its first deacon. In 2007, he was co-founder of the Centre for Leading Innovation and Cooperation (Leipzig), where he continues to be active in research. In addition, he is a guest professor at the University El Manar in Tunis, which awarded him the title “professor honoris causa” in 2006 in recognition of his work in research and teaching. Ralf Reichwald has been director of the advisory board of the Peter Pribilla Foundation of the Technische Universität München since 2005. |
