What kind of health insurance do undergraduates need?
- Health and nursing care insurance is compulsory for all students in Germany, in other words, undergraduates are required to produce evidence that they are covered by an adequate adequate health insurance and pay regular contributions into a nursing care insurance in order to enrol at a German university.
- This means that students have to be sure to obtain a valid insurance certificate prior to matriculation.
