E-mails should - for reasons of courtesy and for ease of contact - have a readable signature at the end. This signature should contain name, organisational affiliation, address, telephone number etc. In general a signature is diveded from the main part of the message by two hyphens and a blank ('-- ').

For the public institution TUM the rules of the law of electronic trade registers (Gesetz über das elektronische Handelsregister, Genossenschaftsregister und Unternehmensregister (EHUG)) do not apply. So you do not have give e.g. tax details about TUM, even though we all ourself the "entrepreneurial university".
